WHY it Works?

Coaching is a strategic and collaborative partnership that supports, challenges and encourages people of all ages to set inspiring goals, overcome obstacles and develop the emotional skills they need to make positive and lasting lifestyle change (Life Business Consultancy).

The Program incorporates five P.O.W.E.R coaching steps that are drawn from Positive and Behavioural Psychology to assist young people design their own inspiring Life, Career and Performance Pathway Plans from the inside out!!

The Career Coaching Module goes beyond traditional “best fit” approaches to assist every Young Person design their own compelling Life and Career Pathway Plan that matches their vision, values and preferred lifesyle. Every participant will be led on a journey of self-discovery where they will design their own Personalised Profile, and connect to who they are, how they want to live and work they would love.

The Life Coaching Module is a powerful future and action-oriented program that will enable workers to assist young people connect to what changes they need to make, and what emotional skills they will need to successfully reach their life goals faster.

The Performance Coaching Module will assist every senior student design a tailored School Performance Pathway Plan to MAXIMISE their own success at school. Performance Coaching is a powerful approach that will motivate young people to take their own performance to a new level.

Each participant within the group will be given the opportunity connect to who they are and develop their own individual personalised life and/or career pathway and transition plans.

Banksia Hill Detention Centre

Halo was successful in winning a 'through care' support contract to take the Coaching young people for success programme to detainees inside Banksia Hill Detention Centre.

Each remanded and sentenced young person will be given the opportunity to develop their own personalised careeer and personal support plan.

The plan and ongoing through care support provided by Halo staff will provide 'real' opportunities that motivate determination, resilience and action.

Workshops commence on February 1st 2010.
